The Bruce is loose! Oh yeah, this week’s Twitch Prime Legend is Tennessee Titan Hall-of-Famer Bruce Matthews, with an 83 OVR!
As an o-lineman for the Titans from ’83-‘01, Bruce Matthews opened holes so big that NASA scientists studied games to confirm the existence of black holes. His play paved the way for legends like Earl Campbell to score a ridiculous number of touchdowns. He played all offensive line positions, started 229 consecutive games without injury, and made a record-breaking FOURTEEN STRAIGHT PRO BOWLS. Whoa. He basically lived in Hawaii and was like, “Aloha NFL defenses, I’m so much better than you.”
One explanation for why he was so good? His genes. His dad, brother, two sons, and two nephews (including GB Packer Clay Matthews) all played in the league. His ancestry.com family tree is lit. Someone buy us a pair of those genes!
