Attention Broadcasters: Channel Feed Beta is Now Available
We’re excited to bring you a new feature that makes Twitch even more social. Introducing the Channel Feed, a new section on your channel page that lets you easily post and distribute content and news to your entire audience, all in one place. And starting now, YOU are eligible to join the beta and start posting!
We know how important it is for broadcasters to communicate with their viewers, and Channel Feed will make it easier than ever. Your Channel Feed is a customizable space on your Channel Page where you can easily share important news, announcements, and anything else you think is relevant to your community. Channel Feed posts fully support emotes, have a generous character limit, and are easily shared to any linked social media accounts.
On web, enabling your channel feed is easy. Simply head to your channel page, flip the Channel Feed switch, and start posting anything your heart desires — within the Twitch Rules of Conduct of course. We’ve also directly integrated Channel Feed with Twitter. Simply click “connect” and you’ll have the option to simultaneously publish your posts to Twitter as well. The tweet will even automatically link right back to your channel.
On mobile, we’ve made it just as easy. In the menu, tap to your Twitch ID, flip the Channel Feed switch, and you’re all set. In addition to syncing your post with Twitter, on mobile you can also easily share to any app that supports sharing on iOS or Android. Just create a post, then tap the share icon and reach your community on any other platform.
Now get to your channel page and start posting! Once you do, we’d love to hear from you. Twitch Staff are standing by, ready to incorporate your feedback to make Channel Feed even better.
